Shane Mitchell has been involved in competitive sport since he was 6 years old, representing Brisbane & QLD in Rugby League and Cricket. Throughout his early years he also competed in swimming; something he still uses today for low impact training.
Shane has attained a variety of trade qualifications & after working closely with his Dad at the Gabba, he moved into a job role as an underground miner. After this shift in careers he was unable to keep playing team sports, so he found a new passion in weightlifting & physique training. Whilst juggling the extremes of working underground & being away from home constantly, Shane became an expert at managing fatigue, energy levels & hydration. This is where he now has extensive knowledge & experience in functioning the human body at high levels of stress and physical demand.
Shane completed his Certificate 3 & 4 in personal training, has a current Blue Card & his Senior First Aid Certificate. He endeavours to attain his strength & conditioning qualifications & continues to pursue new skills as an elite trainer/ athlete.
Shane will be running the MX Boys Club for ages 7yrs +, something he is extremely passionate about. He believes building confidence in young people whilst instilling manners & improving self esteem is indispensable.
