Jo Gordon

Jo Gordon has over 30 years dance teaching experience and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance majoring in choreography and Contemporary Dance.

Jo is a qualified registered teacher with the Australasian Dance Association (ADA), holding an Intermediate Diploma in Jazz and Tap. She has also completed a Dance Teachers Pilates course with the Pilates Institute of Qld.

Jo became Principal of the Enoggera Dancing School in 1993 and then moved to New Zealand where she taught in various schools as well as opening her own dance studio in Wellington. In 2002 she moved back to Australia and has been teaching at the Brisbane Academy of Dance for the last 13 years.

Jo is a member with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and is an Affiliate member with ATOD and also CSTD where she specializes in the Jason Winter’s Contemporary Technique syllabus.

Jo is very passionate about teaching many aspects about the world of dance to young dancers & is dedicated to providing them with the highest quality experience.
