After completing an Advanced Diploma of Dance at the Australian Ballet School Anastasia began her career working with the Queensland Ballet. She then joined the Norwegian National Ballet dancing both principal and soloist roles. Following this Anastasia worked for Sweden’s Gothenburg Opera Ballet, performing works by contemporary choreographers including Jiri Kylian, William Forsythe, Jacopo Godani, Tero Saarinen and Ohad Naharin amongst others.
Returning to Australia, Anastasia joined The Australian Dance Theatre and danced in works by Gary Stewart including Birdbrain, Held and the Age Of Unbeauty.
Anastasia set out on a new training regime in 2016 to also get a fit mind, focussing on memory techniques and cognitive function. Six months later she won the 2016 Australian Memory Championship, the first time a female has been named as having the best memory in Australia. Anastasia holds several Australian records including the most binary digits recalled in 5 minutes (360) and the most random numbers recalled in 15 minutes (304).
Anastasia trains dancers both in dance and in memory techniques to quickly and accurately remember newly choreographed movement sequences.
